The EBL Group is leading the way in its policy for recycling.

For many years all employees of the group have practised a strict code of recycling everyday waste items, such as paper and plastics, but recently this has been extended to include many more waste and discarded products associated with the building industry.

Eddie Basnett, Chief Executive of EBL, says: “Everyone in the company is 100 per cent committed to protecting the environment and to recycling everything possible. That’s why we have recently installed a new line of containers, each for a specific waste product.

“We now recycle not only the usual items such as paper, plastic and glass, but have massive containers for such things as scrap metal, wood and even hardcore and rubble which we can re-use on building sites. Not only is this a common sense approach to protecting the environment and for a greener future, but, in the long term, it will also save the company having to pay for landfill disposal.”
