By anyone’s set of standards, the boys from EBL FC have had a great start to their venture into the Runcorn Sunday League. As First Division “virgins”, EBL have certainly surprised one or two of the more established teams and have very quickly earned the respect of their competition. Recently the lads from the Halton-based construction and development group even got through the first round of the “Bob Orme Cup” and, in their next round, are destined to meet a premiership team. But, whatever the results, the EBL lads certainly look the business in their new strip and all-weather training kit sponsored by the Widnes depot of the Howdens Joinery Company.
